Brazilian U20 flip throwYes, I can hear you all sniggering. Women's football betting, ha ha. Well titter ye not as the quality of this World Cup has been sensational and the betting has been even better. Those of us who have been following the games closely have been making a killing on these and I can only see it continuing as we reach the quarter-finals stage. What do we have to look forward to then? This little lot...

Nigeria v France - Some of us were smart enough to get on Nigeria @ 500/1 on the outright betting before the tournament kicked off and that's looking pretty incredible now. Best available at the moment is around 20/1 with bwin and even that is looking generous. The Nigerians are the team everyone fears with their incredibly powerful running and physical strength. They've managed to dominate every team they've met so far and I can't see France putting up much of a fight even though they're quite a techinically gifted side.

Nigeria do miss a lot of straightforward chances but i think we should look upon the fact that they create so many of them as a positive. France have one of the weakest defences of the remaining teams and I don't think Nigeria could have picked a better side to play here as I really think they'll be able to run through them almost at will. And there are signs the Nigerians are beginning to get their shooting together (rattled the bar 3 tim es against Chile in their 2-0 victory from 30 shots on goal - they were flying over before so we're getting there...). Not quite as technical as the French but at this level the teams with the pace, power and strength are bloody hard to stop.

Nigeria's odds were @ 2.30 to qualify with bwin which looked a cracking bet. Now @ 2.10 but hold the front page... Bet365 go 3.10 for NIgeria to win over 90 minutes and that looks awesome.  I'd hurry if I were you. Hey, no more than 50p on these though! it's always possible they'll completely dominate the game and blow every single one of their 20-30 chances then France bang one into the top corner from 30 yards. This is women's football. Shit happens. Nigeria are still better than France though and that's that.

USA v England - I've hated the USA since the U17 tournament a couple of weeks ago. They don't inspire me at all and I'm sick of having them rammed down my throat and commentators going all moist undied at their football. They're nothing special. Quick and strong though. And that's important. But England are pretty quick and strong themselves and I do think they're capable of giving the yanks a hard time. No way will I be going near America @ 1.42 over 90 or a pathetic 1.20 to qualify. Disgusting!

England made hard work of a young and courageous New Zealand side to get here, relying on an equaliser in the 4th minute of injury time to claim the draw they required (1-1 it ended). But I saw quite a few positives for them in a dominant 2nd half. Plenty of guts, strong running and a very talented player in Duggan, scorer of the all important goal. Get her on the ball around the USA box and she can hurt them. And if they can play as tight and solidly at the back and in midfield as they did against NZ then great. Just get Duggan on the ball as much as possible. Okay?

I'm not going to stick my neck out and say they're better than the USA as they aren't. And of course USA should be favourites. I'm not convinced they should be such strong favourites though. England @ 4.00 to qualify with bwin and it's worth 50p - a little luck and they'll be in with a shout. Maybe loads of luck. I'll be donning my bowler hat and supporting the English girls anyway. Good luck girls. Do it for Winston Churchill.

All games can be watched live at www.fifa.com and on Eurosport I believe.
